Perka is a smart loyalty program that helps small merchants and their regular customers support one another.
Chung wrote, "When Elaine launched her business, she acted as her own general contractor, obtaining permits, developing the site, supervising subcontractors and overseeing the installation of new electrical and septic systems plus a well. Starting with a structure just 14'x50', Elaine expanded the building to its current size, 30' x 80' which is now two stories.
"Elaine isn’t kidding about personalization. She does 100% of the work at her shop serving breakfast and lunch daily, not to mention her involvement in community activities like book clubs, spa days, historical events and art promotions. On Sacred Grounds is truly a hub around which this entire community turns."
Elaine has explained the program to her customers, and also mentioned that before long fibre optic Internet service would be at her business in Valleyford. Chung said, "With customer loyalty clearly core to her business, Elaine was eager to offer a loyalty rewards program. Recognizing that paper punchcards are near-obsolete she preferred a mobile program – but as a self-proclaimed technophobe, she wasn’t sure how she’d get an ambitious, full-featured mobile loyalty program off the ground. Enter Perka!"
