Colton Library January 2013 Events

Now that the holiday season has come to an end, take some time to relax with a good book from the Colton Library, 760 Broadway Ave.  Librarian Holly Meyer can order you any book in the Whitman County Library system.  We also carry new release DVDs, CDs, books on CD, and downloadable audiobooks – all free with your library card.  Check out our diverse selection at www.whitco.lib.wa.us.

Storytime at the Colton Library will focus on colors in January and February.  Each Monday at 10:30, we will explore a different color through stories, crafts, and color pages.  Children ages 1-6 are welcome to attend.  The library is closed Monday, January 21 for Martin Luther King Day.

Third Thursday, the after-school program at the Colton Library, will be January 17.  This month, kids can make different snowflake crafts.  Children ages kindergarten to 6th grade are welcome to join in the fun.  A snack will be provided.

The Uniontown/Colton Book Club book of the month is "The Forgotten Garden," by Kate Morton.  Due to the length of this book, the group will not meet for discussion until February 21, 2013 so everyone has a chance to finish it.  Pick up a copy at either the Colton, 760 Broadway Ave., Colton, Wash., or Uniontown, 110 S. Montgomery, Uniontown, Wash., Libraries.
