Rockford Historical Society Says Thank You
THANK YOU MEMBERS AND FRIENDS
The Rockford Historical Society wishes to thank members and friends for their donations toward the re-roofing of the Pioneer Museum in June. The building was built in 1894 and has served as home to many different businesses and organizations over the years. The old roof was roughly 60 years old.
We also received a $2500 Heritage Fund Preservation Grant from the Spokane Preservation Advocates in support of the project.
We hope that you will stop in and visit us. We are open during the summer from 10-4 each Friday and Sunday until the SE Spokane County Fair in September.

Valleyford Historical Society Meeting, November 29, 2011
Valleyford Historical Club members will be delighted with the Museum-building progress at On Sacred Grounds Coffee, when they meet November 29, 2011, 1:00 p.m., at 12212 Palouse Hwy, corner of Madison and Palouse, Hwy., Valleyford, Wash.
Currently, all donated items are safeguarded. However, having a dedicated room to house and display items that include the valise full of historic newspaper, is a great achievement for the fledgling organization.

Members welcome visitors, and expect memberships to steadily increase. The museum is intended to memorialize and promote awareness of many ghost towns that once existed in the north Palouse region of Washington State.
