Rockford Youth Club Meeting April 9, 2013

Rockford, Washington Youth Club will meet Tuesday, April 9, 2013, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Rockford Town Hall on Emma Street. All local area youth are invited to attend and participate in events planned by the young people.

Freeman Schools PTSA Meeting, March 13, 2013

Lisa Paternoster, President of Freeman PTSA said their next meeting is at 3:30 p.m., March 13, 2013 at Freeman School.

Freeman PTSA publishes a Newsletter around the last Friday of the month during school, except in December. The letters are available in PDF on the school website.

The newsletter also announces winners of the Spring Classroom Grants. Each fall and spring, the Freeman School District staff members are invited to submit requests for class-room grants (up to $100.)

A total of about $1,400 was awarded to:

• Mr. Rae/Mrs. Mega/Mrs. Romey, Sixth Grade - Annual Sixth Grade Rocket Project.
• Mrs. Jensen and Mrs. Smith, Kindergarten - Apple iPad.
• Mrs. Zinkgraf, PE - Jung Kim’s Martial Arts Academy visits to the Third Grade PE Class.
• Mrs. Metcalf and Mrs. Wall, Third Grade - Field Trip to Mobius Science Center
• Mrs. Cochrane and Mrs. Hie-nen, First Grade - Eight Headphones for quiet time.
• Mrs. Briggs, MS Art -  Art supplies.
• Mrs. Gady, Preschool - Replacement CD Player.

The PTSA is proud to be involved in activities to benefit Freeman School District students and teachers. Come to meeting and add your skills and talents too.

 

Rockford Youth Club Meeting to Brainstorm Projects and Activities

Libraries in many of the towns on the Palouse host teen events and meetings, however since Rockford has no library The Rockford Youth Club met in the Town Hall,  20 W Emma St. on January 24, 2013.

Ten youth attended and brainstormed a long list of activities they would like to see happen. Mayor Mickie Harnois and Jennifer Cecil were among those present at their first meeting. At their second meeing, 15 youth were present.

They will meet again to finalize their list and start on their projects.
 

South East Spokane County Fair Committee Meeting January 28, 2013

South East Spokane County Fair Board will start monthly meetings for the 2013 fair, January 28, 2013, 7 p.m., at Rockford Town Hall, 20 W. Emma, Rockford, Wash. Everyone welcome.
