Freeman Harvest Hoe Down, October 26, 2012

"It's fall -- and in the Freeman district that means "Harvest Hoe Down" time!  The Hoe Down is an annual event with games, actvities, music, food and prizes.  For three hours the elementary Multi Purpose Room, classrooms and gym get overun by students and families.

This community event (it's not just for Freeman school families) will be held on Friday, October 26, 2012.  It runs from 5pm to 8pm.  There will be games/activities like Donut Dunk, Cake Walk, Prize Wheel, Face Painting & much more. There is no admission cost.  Games and treats are individually purchased (most are $.50), and the whole family can get dinner/dessert at the Hoe Down.  Complete meals cost about as much as a latte.  There is no better bargain for a safe and fun evening to spend with friends and family.

The Hoe Down is a major fundraiser for the Freeman PTSA and proceeds go towards funding many of their kid-focused goals such as classroom grants, field trips, Craft Night, & Missoula Children's Theater.

This year's MCT musical (cast almost entirely by Freeman K-8 grade students) is The Tortoise and the Hare, which will be performed on October 6, 2012.
