Garfield, Washington Community Center Hub of Activity


The Garfield Community Center, 3rd Street Behind the Library, is obviously the hub of activity in the small rural community of Garfield,Wash.,  with a population of around 600.

Garfield Community Association will meet Tuesday, March 20, 2013 - 7:00 p.m. at the Community Center. All community members are welcome.
 
Garfield Rural Fire District No. 3 Commissioner Meeting, Wednesday, April 10, 2013, 6:00 p.m., is also at the Community Center.

Community members pride themselves that their small town serves the need of its residents. City services include police, fire, water, sewer, road maintenance, and park services. The town boasts an excellent swimming pool and park.

The town boasts many local businesses and establishments, including a tavern, a meat market, specialty cabinet maker, child care center, the J.E. Love Company and McGregor manufacturing companies and several home-based businesses, provide economic opportunities that exceed expectations.

The compact downtown area hosts a post office, bank, attorney, accounting office, medical clinic, beauty shop, cabinet maker, a building contractor, tavern, meat market and landscape service. Medical services are available right downtown at the clinic.
