May 20, 2013 Free Container Gardening Class at Colton Library, Colton, Washington

A Container Gardening class will be held at the Colton Library,760 Broadway Ave., Colton, on Monday, May 20 at 2 p.m. Donna Hansen will show participants how beautiful flowers and vegetables can be grown in even the smallest spaces by growing them in containers.

She will demonstrate how to match the right plant to the right size of pot and where to place the pots to maximize growing potential.

This class is free of charge due to funding provided by the Institute of Museums and Library Services grant titled Transforming Life after 50 which was recently awarded to Whitman County Library.

Gardening Classes at Farmington Community Center Sundays, May 5th and 19th, 2013

Plan to attend our Gardening classes at Farmington Community Center on Sunday, May 5 and May 19, 2013, at 12:00-2:00pm.
Horticulturist, Donna Guske Hansen will be on board to teach both classes. The May 5, 2013 class will feature Small Vegetable gardening and May 19, 2013 will be on Container gardening.

These programs are offered free of charge with funding provided by The Institute of Museums and Library Services grant titled Transforming Life after 50, recently awarded to Whitman County Library.

Farmington Library will provide the refreshments.

Donna Hansen Guest Presentation at Colton and Uniontown Libraries April 24, 2013

   
Donna Hansen will present a Lower Maintenance and Landscaping Workshop at the Colton Library onApril 24, 2013, at 3 p.m. Donna will explain how even the busiest people can still have a great-looking yard. Donna will also present a program on Small Vegetable Gardens the same day at 12 p.m. at the Uniontown Library. Bring a sack lunch and learn how to get the most out of even the smallest vegetable gardens. These programs are being provided free of charge, thanks to funding from the Institute for Museums and Library Services grant entitled “Transforming Life after 50” which was recently awarded to the Whitman County Library.
