Gar-Pal Wrestling
At the district tournament, freshman Trapper Askins wrestled the 120 lb. weight bracket. His 1st match he pinned the boy in 55 seconds. His 2nd match he got pinned. 3rd match he pinned the boy in 40 seconds, and the 4th match he won by pin! So, he placed 3rd at districts.
Sophomore Kevin Knauff wrestled at 160 lb. His first match he pinned the boy. He won the 2nd match 13-0! He got pinned the 3rd match. And again in the 4th match. He wrestled well, but is not seeded at this time but will have a chance to be seeded on Friday before the regional matches start.
The regionals are this next Friday and Saturday in Kittitas (Feb. 10th and 11th). The top 5 from each weight class will go on to state. If they do well and advance, the state tournament is in Tacoma the following Friday and Saturday.
