Chris and Lisa Bowen to Attend Legislative Fly-In 2012

Chris and Lisa Bowen are taking part in the National Legislative Fly-In for Grange in Washington, DC on May 14, 15, and 16, 2012. They will meet with Congressional Delegates and advocate for a stronger rural America.

Fly-In attendees have the unique opportunity to meet with their elected representatives in Congress and their staff to discuss the issues facing our nation today. In preparation for these meetings, experts from all over Washington will brief Grangers on relevant issues that are having an impact on the Grange, rural America and local communities all over the country. Issues include:
  • Spectrum and its importance to broadband expansion
  • Medicare and Medicaid expenditures and fraud
  • 2012 Farm Bill
  • Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, & Rodenticide Act (FIFRA)
Chris and Lisa Bowen will be treated to a tour of the Capitol building. Located at the heart of Washington, D.C., the United States Capitol stands as a pillar of democracy, freedom and our American history.

Through these two outstanding Grange members, the voice of the Palouse region of Washington state and its local communities will be heard in our nation’s capital.

Grangers advocate for a stronger rural America and show Washington the Grange’s dedication to our American Values. Hometown Roots.
