Spring has sprung at Storytime. Children are enjoying doing springtime crafts including making butterflies and caterpillars and learning about springtime and all the things that will be growing soon. Children ages 2-6 and their parents or caregivers are encouraged to join us on Wednesday’s at 12:30 for Storytime at the Oakesdale Library.
The Oakesdale Book Club continues to meet the last Tuesday of the month. This month’s selection is “Winter Garden” by Kristin Hannah. Get your copy from the library now and join us on April 27 at 6:00 pm for a potluck dinner, a great book discussion and the choosing of our next great book.
Thanks to everyone who participated in Food for Fines this year. The library was able to donate three large boxes of food to The Tree of Sharing for their annual food boxes. Tree of Sharing chairman Angy Dewan said “It is always great to get this donation from the library, it helps make sure everyone gets a little something extra!”
Teens had a great time at the library on Monday, March 5th, making duct tape wallets with WCL Teen Librarian Chelsea Leachman. Chelsea showed the teens how to construct their wallets. Teens then enjoyed snacks and some extra time on the computers.
