Palouse Library Scheduled Composting Classes, March 15 & 17, 2012

Judi Dunn-Gray, Recycling & Waste Reduction, will be teaching classes on Composting at the Palouse Library in March, and also at the Commercial exhibitors Event in Pullman on March 16,  & 17, 2012.

Moscow Recycling and Whitman County Recycling are pleased to sponsor a sale of the Earth Machine composter, for back yard composting.

This backyard composter will help you to compost most of the organic waste produced in your home.  The EPA estimates the average household can divert as much as 650 pounds of organic waste every year!  By diverting this material, it helps to keep our solid waste costs as low as possible.

The Earth Machine features a large 80 gallon capacity, is large enough for a family of five, comes with composting instructions and is made from recycled plastic!

The Earth Machine will be sold at cost (approximately $45, or less depending on how many are ordered.)

The composter will need to be pre-ordered before March 16, 2012

To place your order or for more information call: in Latah County, Moscow Recycling at 208-882-0590; in Whitman County, Whitman County Recycling at 509-397-4622.

The date for pick-up for the composters will be Saturday, April 28, 2012, with locations to be determined.

Any questions please feel free to contact Judi Dunn-Gray, Recycling & Waste Reduction, judi.gray@co.whitman.wa.us (509) 397-5213
