Tekoa Branch Library Welcomes New Librarian, Diane Harp

Busy month at the Tekoa Library

The Tekoa Library has a new Librarian. Diane Harp comes to the library with experience and a love of the community. We will miss Patti at the desk, but look forward to having her as a regular customer.

Tekoa Librarian Diane Harp thanks everyone who participated in our Food for Fines drive. Over $50 in non-perishable food is a great addition to the end of the month food distribution in Tekoa.

Stop in the library and see the new At-A-Glance activities calendar. Many events happening in Tekoa and at our area libraries are listed here. If you know of an event to add, it only takes seconds to do so.

The Whitman County Library has thousands of downloadable audio and ebooks available from our website. Come by the library on March 14 from 4 to 6 p.m. for expert help with your digital device. Don’t forget to bring your Kindle, Nook or MP3 player and your labtop if you have one.

Kids Club will meet on March 15 from 4-5 p.m. This month’s activity, origami and Chinese alphabet, is geared for grades 3 –6. Thanks again to teen librarian Chelsea for all the fun of messy science.

Children ages 0-6 are invited to come to the library every Thursday from 1-1:30 for Storytime. This month’s programs are all about pets. Your little one can learn about pets and their care through stories, songs and crafts presented by Librarian Diane.

For more information about programs or other library services, contact Diane during Tekoa Library hours: Tuesday and Wednesday from 1:30–6 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. or contact Whitman County Library toll-free at 877-733-3375.
